THE EVENT - NWHoustonVette-Rod's Night at The Niftee50ees - C-1, C-2 & C-3 - Thanks to Randy Shannon and his Team we will be heading to the Corum Shopping Center to display three generations of Corvette. Last year we were limited to C-1 & C-2 and 31 cars showed up and parked in one display area. What a spectacle that was. So much so, that an article appeared in the Houston Chronicle (Heidi's Picks) highlighting the event. Featured were cars owned by members Ron Napoliello ('67 Roadster) and Leon Wohitman ('63 Split Window).
THE PLAN - 5:00 - 5:15 Arrival (new time) - Randy Shannon and his Team have requested that we arrive at the CORUM SHOPPING CENTER early. Why? This is their last event of the year, the weather will be great and they are expecting a large turnout of cars & spectators. The Corum is located at 4880 Louetta, Spring TX (see map on this page). Once you arrive, someone will direct you to the designated Corvette Parking Area - C-1, C-2 & C-3. Once everyone is parked, we will select a suitable time and place to dine as a Group.
TEXAS WAR MEMORIAL - Look for the 10 x 10 canopy and display. This will be our official meeting place for the evening and the location for the door prize drawing.
ENTRY FEE - $10.00 - There is an entry fee to this event for 1979 and older cars. Spectators and Visitors are always FREE. Parking is in a secure and safe area for newer cars.
WHAT TO BRING - Water or other non-alcoholic beverages, folding chairs, camera and a keen desire to look at some of the most beautiful Corvettes in the great state of Texas. Do bring the kids and other family members since Niftee50ees is always a "Family Affair".
DOOR PRIZE - Anyone who shows up driving a C-1, C-2 or C-3 Corvette will receive a coupon for a drawing at the end of the evening. Several Vette-related gifts will be given away. If you wish to donate an item for the drawing, please bring it with you the night of the event.
